Self described as the Chief Fun Officer (CFO) of his company Florida Dreamscape Vacations Rentals, Tom Hagen owns and operates 5 vacation rental properties on the island of Indian Rocks Beach, FL, as well as a boat tour company.
Tom Hagen uses AirBnB and Vrbo to list his properties for vacationers to rent. He has to communicate with the renters to let them know things like how to get into the property, how to use certain things in the home, where to park, and what local attractions are worth checking out. Unfortunately, the rental apps he uses do not give him an easy way to communicate other than email, which renters seldomly use. He tried to place a binder with all the information in the property, but no one ever read it. This ultimately meant that approximately 90% of his renters would need to call Tom throughout his day. Tom initially tried a basic texting system, but it required him to manually send every message. He looked for a truly automated solution that could take care of chores for him and give him his time back.

With Trumpia, Tom found the automated solution to solve all of his needs. The first thing he did was integrate Trumpia with his Google spreadsheet, which he uses to keep track of check in and check out dates. This way, a week before their stay, renters are automatically sent a list of local attractions they shouldn’t miss while they’re in town. A couple of days before check in, the spreadsheet automatically triggers a text to be sent from Trumpia’s software with instructions on how to get into the property, sometimes including a video that shows how to operate the lockbox.
