The Ohio Public Library Information Network (OPLIN) has been serving 96 public library systems throughout Ohio since 1995, providing them with information-related services, OPLIN used Trumpia to effectively send mass scale text notifications and alerts like past-due rentals
OPLIN wanted to send text alerts to their patrons, but SMS software plugins for their library card catalog system were too expensive or simply unavailable. OPLIN was searching for a text messaging service to send text reminders that was easy to use and could scale to a large volume of messages.
“The main benefit with the service is that we're able to offer an Email-to-SMS conversion. Library card catalog systems support email notices, but SMS plugins are often expensive or unavailable. By combining the library system’s built-in email functionality with Trumpia’s SMS capabilities, we were able to notify patrons across two channels without any added cost or training for the individual libraries,” Karl Jendretzky, Technology Manager at OPLIN
Through Trumpia’s API and Email-to-SMS technology, OPLIN was able to integrate texting capabilities into their existing information systems Fill out the form to view the full case study!
